A newborn session of a baby girl-tips for newborn photography

A beautiful baby girl with big eyes and a cute head band, perfect client for an adorable newborn photo session. She was happy and content throughout the session.

She was in her sleep wear when I arrived, so I took that opportunity to get a few pictures in her own environment and comfort without waking her up or changing her pose.

Once awake mom used a cute orange outfit which absolutely fitted perfectly with a cute yet simple head band. Having smaller minimalistic band on the baby will draw the focus on baby`s face and I love capturing that!

I arranged some small cushions to lift up the head and have the baby on her belly. This worked really well to get some pictures with her eyes open and as soon she fell asleep I got my chance to get a few more shots.

Luckily I was also able to capture her first smile which probably lasted a second or two. As a photographer I always look for opportunity to capture these special moments. These are extremely precious yet so easy to miss.

This photo session went as smooth as one can imagine. I used some dark spreads of brown and blue to bring the baby face and expressions in the focus forefront. Pictures came out beautiful.
