Family photo session with a 100mm macro lens

I love doing family sessions! Particularly when the participants are toddlers and infants. They are natural and super fun to work with. Toddlers need room to run around and are easily distracted. Keeping this in mind I always pick my location. Not too busy location and ample of green space to run around. Voila..works every time.

This family photo session was shot entirely using Canon L Series 100 mm macro f2.8 lens. Unbelievable huh! A macro lens and used for a family session. Yes this lens is very versatile. It is tac sharp, works like a charm. It brings out an interesting angle in every shot and all photos turn out to be amazingly unique. Did I also mention it captures every little expression with full details. Cute faces looks even cuter. 

I often hear from mom and dad participants in family sessions that it is very hard to work with the toddlers and infants. They never listens and are so hard to pose. However, as you see here this lens has been able to capture the best of what’s available!
