Four week old newborn photo session- Winnipeg baby photographer

Four week old adorable baby boy! He arrived in my studio with mom, dad and newly arrived grandparents. He was wide awake to begin with. I started the session with baby and parents together, that would give some more time to settle in his parents arms. After that grand parents got their share to pose a few pics with their grandson.

Only four week old but baby boy was quite alert with his tiny legs and arm stretching out at every possible opportunity, trying to wrap him. I have found that for very alert babies, when they arrive a feed can be given to settle them down. When my little client finally settled with his belly full I tried a pair of short pants with matching hat and leather suspenders. He was very content at that time and was still wide awake and big eyes following his parents voices.

His big eyes had a spark of excitement with the flash being fired occasionally. For newborn I prefer to use a continuous light that is not so bad most of the time. Occasionally if its a very cloudy day and the location of the baby prop bed if needed I will use a flas. However, it has a diffuser attached to it and is always pointed indirectly to the baby’s face.

It was exciting to try out the new baby wicker prop bed. Its the perfect size to fit in a sleeping baby 6-8 month old. It is also an alternate sitting prop that I use for toddlers to sit on.
