Tips for a 3 month old baby session-Winnipeg newborn photographer

This 3 month old happy client came to my studio wide awake and smiling. I love to do a photo session of babies this age and have always got some unique and cute looking expressions for the photos.

They are usually full of smiles and therefore it is lot easier to capture one with any outfit or a closeup shot. 

I will start with the same outfit the baby arrives in my studio. First few shots are with parents and if the baby is still happy with the new environment, I will switch to whole body portrait or closeups.

At this age many babies are comfortable lying on their backs however, have a preference of turning their head to left or right. Therefore two small posing pillows are must that one can gently slide under fur posers of bean bag covers so the baby head gets some support and minimize the movement sideways.

Soft cotton outfits are great choice. Tiny shirt and pant for the little man is very popular.  If the baby gets fussy in this I will remove the extra clothing and have a tummy on session wearing minimal. Some baby love this however there will be a few who will struggle to stay still.

My 3 month old baby was very comfortable switching clothes. He only had to be fed once and the remainder of the time a soother/pacifier was able to keep him still.

This baby session was amazing and the photos turn out beautiful.
