Newborn session in studio with parents-Winnipeg newborn photograher

What a lovely couple with angelic newborn session this was! Parents were super relaxed and full of smiles to begin with. They were just happy to be a part of this session. As a photographer I was given the full freedom to use my skills and creative instinct to execute this special session for the new mom and dad.

Baby was asleep most of the time and she did not mind the movement or the transfer from one parent to another for getting the poses.

For first time parents I always start the session with baby in swaddle wraps. This helps to prep the parents hold the baby with confidence and also easier to adjust the baby facing camera. With little to no movement in swaddle wraps parents can hold their precious with ease and be less stressed.

Baby girl was only 10 day old but she did not mind posing in her cute little frock that parents wanted to use for the session. For newborns as little as this I try to use a very simple yet minimalistic headband to compliment some of the poses.

Some of the poses I decided to get done was mom holding the baby in middle while looking at each other, pose the baby on her side while mom will use her arms crossed to make a cradle, baby rested on dad's chest is another of my favourite.

Picture taken were amazingly natural in simple poses yet so beautiful to look at. Final pictures came out beautiful.
