Ideas for doing a maternity session in studio- Winnipeg family photographer

Maternity session is very popular and can be done any time especially after 32 weeks into pregnancy. In studio works really well for hot summer days and in the winter. 

To make it colourful and cheerful while doing the session in studio I tend to focus of a few things.

1. Outfit for the participants. If they want multiple outfits and asked for an opinion I will suggest them trying two different colours and style of outfits. One can be shorter or body hugging and the other can be a long flowy gown. 

2. Backdrops in the session used will be completely different color or finish such as different boho style, floral prints, solid or shaded. I try not to use too much of a similar color or style for the same session. 

3. Baby accessories are very popular and easy to use for the session. This not only bring certain items that closely symbolizes the baby but also brings an expression of joy in the expecting parents faces, that is quite unique to capture.

Popular accessories are cute little dressess that will have some adorable text written on them, stars, balloons, ultrasound pictures or something very personal family heirlooms.

In this particular session mom wanted to use a teal color flowy chiffon outfit that wonderfully complimented the occasion. 

She was comfortable with the outfit yet happily flaunting her belly and posing very well.

The other outfit was a body hugging shorter dress which she used while posing with a cute baby girl dress. The baby pink and maroon complimented very well.

The session was a delightful one.
